TERRACES AND METHOD TECHNICAL

The Technique of the Terraces:
is biting deeply into the plate so as to generate different levels of depth between the surface and the grooves (waffles).

Roll-up method (Hayter): is to apply all colors in a single array using the ink system with different viscosities.

"The application of different viscosity inks with rollers of different hardness in a metal matrix produces rich color prints clean" Hayter

Ways to apply color to a Recorded:

- Make a matrix for each color

- Inking by

areas - Use templates to cover specific areas for a certain color or shape.

- Use opaque color inks and transparent colored inks.

- Use roll with color gradients.

- Method Hayter "Roll-up", all colors in the same matrix, ink system different viscosities applied hard and soft rollers:

INK:

Rheology: science that studies the physical principles governing the flow and deformation of materials according to an applied stress. If a material under a strain deforms and does not flow, the solid material is called if the submitted material flows, is that in the presence of a fluid. The fluids have different viscosity characteristics.

Viscosity: Viscosity is the resistance of a substance to change its shape when a force is applied. High viscosity fluids have a certain resistance to flow, low viscosity fluids flow easily. Baseline

solid ink + = High Viscosity (less fluid)

Linseed Ink + = Low Viscoidad (more fluid)

ROLLS: Roll

Drive: Apply once and without pressure (only with the weight of the roller). Soft Roll
: Apply once and with pressure to enter into the grooves of the matrix.

RETURNS:

rub them a little oil to prevent sticking in the roll.

Electricity In One Room Stops Working

HAYTER Ways to ink a Terrace: Brief

1 - Inking
deep notches and clean as usual. (Thick lines and generate a deep dark color)

2 - Apply a second color with a soft roll (gelatin or plastic) that passes through the intermediate levels of embossing. If you do not have a soft roller sets the color by hand and carefully clean the surface. (This second color can be prepared acetite linseed oil for a low viscosity ink, with the aim of the third color ink is rejected in areas where it is).

Linseed Ink + = Low Viscosity (more fluid)

3 - a Third Place color with a roller drive (high viscosity ink, hard, sticky, made with talc, petroleum jelly and a little oil).

solid ink + Vaseline = High Viscosity (less fluid)

+ templates can be used (mica or hard plastic) to prevent the roller passing through certain areas, some templates may be oiled to not stick to the roller.

+ Steps 2 and 3 can be made in a different order, vary the viscosity, vary the transparency of the inks, etc.

+ roll can be loaded with color gradients.

Engineer In Training State Requirements Easiest

History:

Application techniques color with a roller, using templates, control the viscosity of the inks, among others, emerged and were refined in the Atelier 17.

SW Hayter, artists from the Atelier 17, wrote in 1981 "New Ways of Gravure", a handbook on methods of intaglio printing in color.

Jet Pilots And Skin Cancer

Spring civilized Europeans and some readings in Salamanca

spent the latter part of the course in Salamanca. Arrived by train one morning in the hope of staying a while. I had never been here before spring and the city full of life. The Plaza Mayor seems to be constantly renewed.

The early days are still fresh. A persistent morning drizzle of clean leaves in the morning. Then comes the heat, dry as in Castile.

take this opportunity to reconnect with my friend Jimmy, who lives happily in this city for some years, working day and reading (and living) night. Among coffee with ice and beer in the afternoon session we review some of our myths: talk about Silvio, Delibes, of Sabina, the fantastic novel by Yann Martel, of Monty Python, Leonard Cohen, the Panero (of course), bars, nights, the passing of time, of life. In his library with his fingers caress the lyrics of the signatures of Neruda, Cortázar and Sabato on "Canto general", "Hopscotch" and "The writer and his ghosts."

Whenever I meet with him I learn something. He tells me of Nacho Vegas and Iván Ferreiro, who did not take long to incorporate into my favorites list, and under his tutelage I read Kurt Vonnegut and a novel originalísma: "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire", the Indian writer Vikas Swarup. I also recommend "Maus" the great Art Spiegelman's graphic novel, the series "Paracuellos" by Carlos Giménez and comics by Joe Sacco on Palestine and the Balkans. I try to be of some use and spoke to Martin Amis, Cees Nooteboom and Tibor Fischer.

In recent months I have spent time in cities that barely know anyone. I have plenty of time to walk and read, so far as I can apply for public library card which houses the Casa de las Conchas. Happened there several afternoons a fresh crisp the aisles and shelves full. As a concession nostalgic read comics and Mortimer by Edgar P. Blake Jacobs did not read as a child. Then I seemed the height of sophistication, now might be to cheesy (but still enjoy reading: maybe there's a certain naivete that should not be lost).

time leaks away quickly and the summer sun was eventually installed in the perpendicular of the city. Fifty days after arriving, full of new readings, I get on another train that crosses a Castile which still has some green.
