1 - Inking deep notches and clean as usual. (Thick lines and generate a deep dark color)
2 - Apply a second color with a soft roll (gelatin or plastic) that passes through the intermediate levels of embossing. If you do not have a soft roller sets the color by hand and carefully clean the surface. (This second color can be prepared acetite linseed oil for a low viscosity ink, with the aim of the third color ink is rejected in areas where it is).
Linseed Ink + = Low Viscosity (more fluid)
3 - a Third Place color with a roller drive (high viscosity ink, hard, sticky, made with talc, petroleum jelly and a little oil).
solid ink + Vaseline = High Viscosity (less fluid)
+ templates can be used (mica or hard plastic) to prevent the roller passing through certain areas, some templates may be oiled to not stick to the roller.
+ Steps 2 and 3 can be made in a different order, vary the viscosity, vary the transparency of the inks, etc.
+ roll can be loaded with color gradients.
